Rasmus

I find it hard to believe that Rasmus would be against all advanced frameworks in PHP.

I know I don't care for frameworks like Smarty where you are just reinventing PHP (which is why I love working with Drupal's PHPTemplate engine).

However, there is so much to be gained from using a framework like Drupal and while I don't want to speak for Rasmus, I think he'd have to mainly agree.

Besides, why was he at DrupalCon if he doesn't acknowledge the strength of the Drupal framework?

forgot the Hurdy Gurdy Drupalsong

Wow, you forgot to highlight one of the great fun moments on the closing keynote: http://www.lullabot.com/blog/song-hurdy-gurdy

Missed Szeged for Kiev

We have had the 1st Drupal MiniCamp in Kiev, Ukraine, at the same time DrupalCon was held in Szeged.

Waow, it actually cuts the podcast when you want to comment on the post... and it's not really possible to pause it chile it loads to where you are.

Nice podcast, big up, continue the good work.

(What was that with the commentaries on the Hungarian language? It felt... awkward. One thing I noticed in Szeged is english speaking people barely adapt their language level/complexity to their audience. I can tell than sometimes it's needed.)

command line drupal.org, really?

Someone slipped a comment in jest on the 'cast "command line for d.o" and I immediately thought of http://podipodi.com/, the FF3 extension Ubiquity, and other cli for the web: has anyone ever thought to add on a d.o search (or better, deep link) to modules, handbooks, and others? Imagine:

  1. visit http://drupal.org
  2. hit [SHIFT]+[SPACE]
  3. type "module imagecache releases"
