Jared began his design career at the age of three, carefully arranging matchbox cars on the floor of his bedroom. Those early years were formative as he tackled problems like hot rod accessibility, visual alignment, and creating beautiful patterns. Therefore it's no surprise that he went on to building beautiful things with legos and from that to getting his BFA in design and pursuing it as a career. He has a fascination with the way things work and a passion for simple, beautiful and usable design.

Jared comes to Lullabot after several years with Sprocket, a small Drupal design firm he co-founded in Atlanta, GA. Jared's love of legos perhaps also attracted him to Drupal. At Sprocket, Jared focused his design skills on making Drupal beautiful and simpler to use for Sprocket's clients.

Jared lives with his wife Melanie and their two boys in Roswell, GA, and when he's not designing he enjoys reading, canoeing, fishing, gardening, mowing the grass and laughing. Actually, he enjoys laughing while doing all of those other things as well.
