We are deeply saddened by and appalled at the recent attacks on people in the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Anti-Asian violence isn’t something new and has been greatly increasing since last spring. The attacks in Atlanta are an unfortunate wake-up call to the injustice and racism that many people in the AAPI community have been dealing with for far too long.
At Lullabot, we embrace and value humanity regardless of color, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. It’s at the core of who we are as a company and as individuals. We believe that diversity only makes us greater and is something we’re continuously striving for in every aspect of our business.
We know that writing a statement alone isn’t sufficient to bring about change, but we can’t remain silent about racial injustice. Hopefully, we’ll soon see a day when we have no reason to write statements like this. In the meantime, we’re planning to donate financial resources to groups whose efforts are aimed at ending the hate.
