Andrew Morton on File API and Images in Drupal 7

Andrew Morton (aka drewish) talks about the new File API in Drupal 7 as well as some of the image handling support that is now built into Drupal 7 such as the filefield, imagefield and imagecache. He also talks a bit about some of the work that Nate "quicksketch" Haug did in order to get the image support within Drupal 7. And he also talks about what the File API now allows in Drupal 7 as well as some of the work on stream wrappers in Drupal 7 and Media module development that Aaron Winborn has been working on.
