Frank Febbraro of Phase2 Technology talks about Building out Drupal Platforms. He mentions Acquia's Drupal Gardens as a good example of a Drupal Platform that has build out the other technical infrastructure to be able to deploy thousands of Drupal sites. With their work with governments, Phase2 has been in discussions with some of the potential government clients who want to build out not just a couple of Drupal sites, but to be able to deploy hundreds or thousands of sites. Febbraro talks about some of the useful technologies like the Jenkins open-source continuous integration server, some of issues that come up with deploying Drupal sites on this scale, and gives an overview of the talk that he facilitated at DrupalCon Chicago called "Building Drupal Platforms."

Febbraro also talks about taking over Development Seed's Open Atrium and Managing News distributions and their future plans for prioritizing supporting for all of their modules that they have taken over. He wrote out a detailed post before DrupalCon laying out Phase2's issue queue philosophy. He also talks the ideal goal of making features compliant to the Kit specification so that they can be interoperable between different distributions as well as some of their Drupal 7 plans and priorities.
