Bryan House on Acquia Hosting and Drupal Gardens
Bryan House gave a talk at DrupalCon about how to grow the Drupal Community by 100x. And the way that Acquia envisions that happening is through creating an easy on-ramp for people to get into Drupal through their newest product announcment and release of both Acquia Hosting and Drupal Gardens.
Drupal Gardens is the equivalent of WordPress.com in that it is Drupal as a service. But there is a built-in way to export your site in case you wanted to customize it even further with other modules not included in Drupal Gardens. Acquia is offering Acquia Hosting as one path for exporting a site and having a continued Drupal support relationship, but it's also possible to use any other hosting solution as well.
