Tim Hankinson

Tim got his start in web development in the early 2000s, teaching himself how to build websites for bands he played in. Other bands soon asked him to build websites for them, and what began as a creative outlet quickly became a long-term career.

Tim started working with Drupal in 2011 when he landed his first full-time job at an SEO company. Starting as a web developer assistant, he quickly worked his way up to a lead web developer in just two years. 

From there, Tim moved to a much smaller Drupal shop, where the small-team environment let him work across the full stack to build, maintain, and improve a wide range of websites and applications. Much of his work centers around Drupal, but his experience extends beyond any single technology. From backend languages like PHP to frontend frameworks like Next.js, and everything in between. 

Tim lives near Cleveland, Ohio, where he keeps busy with a little bit of everything. He's a musician at heart, playing bass and guitar and currently tackling the drums. When he's not making music, you'll find him at the gym, hiking, traveling, catching a concert, or hunting down a good donut. He's also been a gamer since childhood and still loves getting lost in a great game.
