Scoble, Fast Company and Drupal
One of our clients, Mansueto Ventures, broke some interesting news today: they will be launching fastcompany.tv in early March. The big news, of course, is that A-list blogger Robert Scoble will be joining the initiative as Managing Director.
We've been working with a large team of people on several Drupal-based initiatives for Mansueto. IncBizNet was the first to launch - providing a unique social network for entrepreneurs (check the podcast for more details). FastCompany.com is currently in a private beta for existing members, and will be unveiled soon as a fully Drupal-powered social network. FastCompany.tv will be an exciting addition to the mix!
From Scoble's announcement:
They have invested in a major new social networking site that’ll be revealed soon. Fast Company was one of the first magazines with a social network, called “The Company of Friends†and the new site, built in open-source Drupal, excited me because of the distribution and community it brings.
I recall having lunch with Scoble and a handful of Drupal people during Northern Voice 2006 where we did our best to extol the virtues of our favorite CMS. It feels really good to see the announcement that Scoble will now be teamed up with a fantastic company that's made such a strong commitment to Drupal. Congrats all around!

Great News
Congrats! This is great news for you guys on getting that exposure and same for Drupal. Being the huge tech-celeb that he is will help get Drupal recognized even more. And just maybe Robert Scoble will migrate his current Scobleizer website from Wordpress(barebones theme with Times font.. :S) to a nicer cleaner Drupal(& theme).
'A-list blogger', I'd love
'A-list blogger', I'd love to see that on a nametag sometime, then we know blogging has become mainstream.
Looks like a fun site, I've never seen a drupal site group posts in days before, can that be done with views?
