Lullabot

Our first online workshop was such a great success that we've decided to do it again. Come join us for another Lullabot online workshop. We combine live webcasts with self-directed learning to deliver the essential training required to successfully build and deploy sites using Drupal. The course includes several opportunities for Q&A with the experts and chances to test your new knowledge - all online, from the comfort of your home or office. You don't even need to get dressed up! Learn in your pajamas, if you'd like! Over the course of six weeks, you will learn what it takes to build a Drupal site from installation to launch. Ta da!

This 6-week course begins October 12th and meets live each Monday evening (Tuesday morning for those of you in the Eastern Hemisphere) at 0:00 UTC (that's Monday at 8pm Eastern US, 5pm Pacific US, 2pm in Hawaii, and Tuesday at 11am in Australia, 1pm in New Zealand, 9am in Japan - find your local time here). During each week's 2 hour webcast you will learn new topics and have a chance for live Q&A with your Lullabot instructor. You'll be given exercises to practice your new knowledge on your Drupal site (we'll provide one for you) as well as access to an exclusive forum for help and additional questions. Additionally, you'll get access to the video archive of the live events - so if you can't make it to a live class, you'll won't miss the content.

Week 2 : Content, Comments and Taxonomy
Topics covered: Drupal’s Flexible Content Types, Using Default workflow, Input formats, Configuring and Managing Comments, Using taxonomy for categorizing your content

Week 3 : Extending your content with CCK
Topics Covered: What is CCK? Installing CCK, Field Types, Widgets, Formatters and Display settings, Multiple values and shared fields

Week 4 : An introduction to content listings with Views
Topics Covered: What is Views? Installing Views, Building a view, Fields and Filters

Week 5 : Advanced Views concepts
Topics Covered: Views access control, Alternate Displays: Feeds and Attachments, Exposed filters, Arguments : dynamic filters, Relationships : pulling in additional data

Week 6 : Polishing up
Topics covered: Theme configuration, Evaluating additional modules, Launching your site... Ta da!

Since the majority of attendees to the online workshops are usually from the US and Canada, we will be observing the ending of daylight savings time on November 1st. If you are outside of the US/Canada this means that the time of the last 3 classes will likely change for you and become 1 hour later. Here's a link to the global time/date for each of the classes:
