Number formats are important too!
I've discovered that not every country uses the same number formatting. For example, Italy uses the following formatting:
1.000,00
Australia (and many, many other countries) uses the following formatting:
1,000.00
I don't suppose this is also being addressed?
Drupal 7 is on it's way
Enjoyed listening to the Drupal 7 information. It's changes are significant and it's good to be up to speed with the information NOW so that as it gets closer to release everyone is familiar with it. Great resource from people very intimate with the changes. Enjoyed listening (while I was programming in Java - go figure) ;-)

I love how just after each brief dead-air moment (after someone has talked for a while), Jeff responds with a "yeeeaaahhhhh....ummm" like he wasn't even paying attention :) But, he always comes right back on point and proves me wrong :) Just messin with you Jeff, love the podcast and listen to all of em. You guys are great!

I've done 79 of these podcasts now... I don't need to PAY ATTENTION! :-)
But seriously, that's usually the sound of me looking over the list and trying to keep things on track.
I suppose we could "professionalize it up" a bit, but what fun would that be?

You know what I love about your Lullabot podcast? Listening to folks. All us open-source media workers/netizens read and absorb so much text data daily but nothing makes the experience more human than actually hearing the voices of those involved. I feel in some way that I have met you and so I have a much stronger connection/buy in/commitment to you and your projects. So thank you for making the podcasts available.
User feedback - here's my itch. I feel a need for more audio meta data for your podcast.
Use case: I have downloaded a lot of Lullabot podcasts in a folder and am listening to them, flipping thru pretty randomly - not in order. What have I already heard? What is contained in the current media item? You know what irks me? Having to wait a good 30 secs to hear what episode I am actually listening to. Hey Jeff can you actually announce what the content is at the head? This is like audio meta data. If you just said something like "Lullabot podcast - Drupal 7 news, what's on the horizon" right at the top I would be *so* happy. A small point I know, but as a podcaster myself I thought it might be useful to share that with you.

I made a posting about the long-winded podcasts and it was deleted. Must be you want to read all the goodie goodie and no concerned critique.
Then again, maybe it was a mistake that is why I am writing this.
I would just like a more condensed version of podcasts. I am interested in the content, but not all programmer chit chat and commendations.
Also, if the condensed version indicates some pretty viable content I will make time to do the entire podcast.
I work with Drupal daily, so I am interested to know more about module releases and working with the modules. I just have so little time to hang around and listen to long-winded podcasts.
I attended a very expensive marketing seminar a few years ago, and one thing I learned. Most people have a propensity to listen for a maximum time of 11-13 minutes.
Check out Drupal Voices
That's why we also have the Drupal Voices podcast, which is exactly what you describe. 7-13 minutes of focused topics. It's quite different than the longer podcasts, and often times not as in-depth, but you should check out Drupal Voices as well: http://www.lullabot.com/podcast/drupal-voices
Drupal Voices Is Shorter
You may be interested in our Drupal Voices podcasts. These are shorter (more like 5 to 10 minutes each) so you might be happier with those.
That being said, you're under no obligation to listen to any of our podcasts. We put out these free podcasts as a service to the community and we've gotten much more appreciation than criticism. And with 80 of them recorded, the format is not likely to change any time soon. There are many other places to get Drupal information. I hope you can find one to serve you well.

Great podcast, thanks for that. Provides a nice overview to get me up to speed.
I tend to agree that the podcasts are a little long, I don't mind since I just sit here working on drupal sites and listen to them as I do so but i'd love to see a rough transcript of the whole thing. That way maybe i could jump to a section i was particularly interested in. Or quickly find a part I wanted to listen to again, or play to my boss.
A really nice feature I only just noticed on TED is that the timeline is split into chapters so you can very quickly jump to a particular section. Would be great to see that here.
But yeah, I really like the laidback style.

Drupal 7 looks amazing. The usability changes are pretty dramatic. I just set up a test site and was impressed by the overall polish. It took me forever to find where to change content types though because I was looking for it in the configuration section. - bad D6 habits will take some time to get out of my thinking.

The comments about Drupal's usability in this podcast are so true. I've come to love Drupal but 9 months ago when I had no website building experience (but plenty of software engineering experience) I was going crazy trying to figure the thing out.
Even now I've avoided writing modules - prefering create specific page or node.tpl.php definitions with custom php in them instead. In fact, it never fails to amaze me how user-unfriendly the whole process has been at times.
I actually don't blame Drupal itself for this either, I blame the documentation and help which surrounds it. It's a total bleedin' mess to be quite frank. I remember finding myself in a maze of linked pages, each of which provided a snippet of info which was described in terms of other things which I didn't understand.
If one day Drupal.org actually gets around to providing a zero to site tutorial then Drupal's uptake will be far higher than it currently is.
