Drupal 4.7: FlickrStickr Module Review

FlickrStickr module is an easy way to insert images into content from photos stored at flickr.com. In this videocast I describe how it works as well highlight areas where it could be improved. Overall it's a fantastic module that deserves more attention.

Hot linked from Flickr
If you look closely in the video you can see the answer to the one question I had remaining; from where are the images served? The answer is from Flickr.com itself. Is there any Flickr policy on hotlinking like this? Encouraged? Discouraged? Might it be useful for the module to have the option of downloading the Flickr image and hosting it locally?
I'm happy to see that Elek Márton is very active developing Drupal modules. He is one of the developers that came to us through the Google Summer of Code program.

Is there an internal equivalent for Drupal images, or especially for an Integrated Gallery 2 installation?

Imagedrop
I've been working on and off on something which is quite similar to FlickrStickr. It's called Imagedrop and is hiding in the Drupal.org CVS at the moment.

Love the ideas for improvements. My only question is how it works with a wysiwyg add-in like FCK Editor?
WYSIWYG Support
Currently the module doesn't seem to integrate with rich-text editors like TinyMCE of FCKEditor. Adding support isn't too difficult, I did it with img_assist module so maybe the FlickrStickr crew can use that code as a starting point.

Module broken
I upgraded to 4.7.1 and flickrstickr no longer loads images. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've updated to 4.7.2 and it still isn't working. Any insight as to what went wrong?

The new version of Flickrstickr is ready! Read about it then try it!.
Some improvements include -
- Click and drag into tinyMCE enabled textareas
- scroll through all your images in the dock, not just your 10 latest on a specific tag
- image selector is now floatable/dockable for getting to textareas off your visible screen
- integration with lightbox2 module
- storage of images as nodes and in the filesystem for local backup if flickr changes something
