Drupal Voices 44: Neil Drumm on Drupal.org redesign modules

Drupal 5 core maintainer Neil Drumm talks about some of the infrastructure modules that he helps maintain like the API module that runs api.drupal.org, and also the upcoming Dashboard module, which is a part of the prototype mock-ups for the Drupal.org redesign. Neil is currently decoupling the dashboard functionality out of the suite of Drupal.org-specific modules.

Aaron Winborn of Advomatic and author of the Drupal Multimedia book talks about the new Media module and how it will treat external media embeds as a part of Drupal's file system. He also talks about the API, and the stream wrappers that are being developed that will allow you to have both private and public files exist on the same Drupal site.

Photo galleries with Views Attach

A quick screencast demonstrating a new technique for building photo galleries in Drupal with Views and CCK.

Update: An encapsulated version of these settings has been exported for use with the Features module -- it should automatically handle the dependency tracking.

Update 2: An additional 'raw' export of the views, css, and content types is now available for download as well. For those not using the Features module, it should get you started. The ImageCache presets will still need to be set up, but the rest is there.
