very funny

Cheesy, funny, cool!

This was bound to happen only I didnt think it would be this way, sounds like a cheap ad on a local radiostation or a stationcall and I mean that in a good way!

Very good job! I will be using this is an upcoming presentation I have to do. Lets see if at the end the crowd goes wild "drupal drupal dru-pal!"

BryanSD (not verified) on March 19, 2007 - 6:53am

Nicholas Thompson (not verified) on March 19, 2007 - 2:55pm

Fantastic!

I normally hate songs that wedge themselves into my head like a virus, but that's fantastic!

Is this the kinda music Orbit used to make? ;-)

suzan24k (not verified) on March 19, 2007 - 4:45pm

Agree with BryanSD

I'm not a musician but, you know, the chorus is definitely catchy. I'm not Jewish but it reminds me of some Jewish music I've heard that was also catchy.

And, nice voice Jeff!

Zim (not verified) on March 19, 2007 - 6:02pm

For kids

The song is also for kids, so that they in their 4 years already knew about Drupal and would use it then when they will build their first website ;-)

Jakob Petsovits (not verified) on March 20, 2007 - 6:26am

Like, you know, ...

This song is very minimalistic. Catchy, straightforward, kind of funny, and very minimalistic.

I'm looking forward to the day when promotion songs actually grow to something more than just a nicely worked out idea. Like, you know, some complex layering of musical motives, development of sounds and emotions throughout the song, a tiny share of jazz chords, and a shitload of subtleties that only insiders can laugh about.

Yeah, dream on jpetso. Nevertheless, nicely done!

Jakob Petsovits (not verified) on March 20, 2007 - 6:27am

Captcha

Btw, your math question captcha doesn't work in Konqueror.
Whereas I know other sites where the same Drupal captcha actually does work.

Anonymous (not verified) on March 20, 2007 - 6:35am

ooh yeah

Feels like Drupal, sounds like Drupal! It is Drupal.

The Drupal Song

This is great. Beats all those OpenBSD release songs ;)

nice showcase

Wow, those are some fantastic examples of the diversity of Drupal theming in that video! The one at the beginning particularly caught my attention: http://www.mc-coperture.it/
Way to promote our favorite cms..

Nice! your ROCK! now for the Drupal commercial

I love it. kind of reminds me of the old "i'd like to buy the world a Coke" song. When you make the commercial, make sure that the first chorus is sung by just the singer in a room at a piano, then the second by everyone in the room (about 7 happy shinny people all of obvious diverse steyotypical races and geners, and of course one in a wheel chair), then the third by the entire neighboorhood as you pan out, the mailman singing, the milkman, the paper boy, etc..., then the fourth by people filled in a football statium, etc... Eventually you have 3 billion Chinese singing the chorus in their funny accents, and you pan back into space while the sound fades out, eventually ending on the famous picture of the earth from space from the Apollo mission. Still for 5 seconds...then cut to the space dude on the moon sticking the flag in the moon, but make it a Drupal flag instead of a USA flag. then out...

Cheers! Ricco
