At each DrupalCon, Drupal project founder Dries Buytaert gives a state of Drupal address that sets the context for a lot of the conversations that happen during the rest of the week. This year Dries did a lot of reflecting about the Drupal 7 release as well as what could be improved upon for the next development cycle for Drupal 8. The other big thing that Dries did was to lay out a vision for five of the most important features to try get into Drupal 8. He talks about all of this in more in this Drupal Voices interview.
