[Nick Lewis](http://www.nicklewis.org/) is a long-time Drupal developer who provides some interesting metaphors for how to understand "The Drupal Way" including the developer as a doctor, the Mother Drupal ecosystem, modules as life forms, Asteroids that change everything in Drupal, Drupal Frankensites and [Drupal Hell.](http://www.nicklewis.org/node/860) Nick has an amazing talent for boiling down perennial web development problems into a simple image that can help us gain perspective and better understand the process of building a Drupal web site. Some of the modules that he mentions are the [Display Suite](http://drupal.org/project/ds) and the [Skinr module](https://www.lullabot.com/podcasts/drupal-voices-82-jacine-rodriguez-skinr-module).
