[Katherine Bailey](https://katbailey.net/) (aka [katbailey](https://drupal.org/user/172987)) gives a brief overview of the [new Ajax framework in Drupal 7](http://api.drupal.org/api/group/ajax/7). As maintainer of the [Quick Tabs](http://drupal.org/project/quicktabs) module, she got interested in all of the various JavaScript-related functionality in Drupal. For more detailed information on the new Ajax framework, then consider checking out the [jQuery and JavaScript in Drupal training video](http://store.lullabot.com/products/jquery-and-javascript-in-drupal) which covers both how to use the Ajax framework in Drupal 7, as well as creating Ajax-enabled links. Also be sure to check out Katherine's recent [blog post on the new Ajax framework.](https://katbailey.net/blog/how-d7-ajax-framework-could-fall-short-being-spectacularly-useful)
