## Overview

State digital platforms have to outlast the conditions under which they were built. Administrations change. Digital leaders and staff move on. Budgets and priorities shift. New technologies emerge. And unexpected events can create needs no one anticipated.

Use this assessment to identify how prepared your digital platform is to absorb those changes without disrupting services—or forcing the next team to start over.

**Time to complete: 5–8 minutes**

## **How to score your platform**

Rate each statement from **1–5** based on how accurately it describes your organization today:

**1 Not at all:** We haven't addressed this or depend heavily on individuals and manual processes.  
**2 Somewhat:** We've started addressing it, but practices are inconsistent.  
**3 Established:** We have documented processes and standards that are generally followed.  
**4 Resilient:** This is embedded in our platform and operating model, built to withstand disruption.  
**5 Adaptive:** This has held up through real disruption, and we used what we learned to make it stronger.

Don't score based on where you want to be. Score based on what would happen **if circumstances changed tomorrow.**
