The day-to-day work varies from project to project, but it often follows the same trajectory over a project's life. During investigation or kick-off phases, we often focus on helping your team make good decisions about the site's structure, the best underlying Drupal modules to use for specific needs, future-proof staging and deployment practices, etc. As the development work gets underway, our architects often transition to mentoring roles with the developers, keeping an eye on what problems team members are encountering, guiding them towards appropriate resources, and auditing/reviewing code that's being written.

When teams are unfamiliar with Drupal, or when green developers are joining a project, we can work with you to build out a training plan -- in some cases it's as simple as picking up a few books and pointing developers in the right direction. At other times, larger teams have benefitted from week-long in-person "boot camp" training on topics like jquery, theming, Drupal's APIs, scaling and performance tuning, and so on.

Our Drupal architects stay in close communication with project stakeholders as well, to provide an outside perspective on the health of the team and the project as a whole. In many cases, they'll also work with the team to provide security audits, plan and/or execute performance and load testing, and so on.
