Too much rambling.
Skip the first 20 minutes of this puppy and maybe more, I stopped listening. There is way too much junk in the first 20 minutes that isn't relevant to the topic.

Too busy
Some of us are too busy to wade through a 90 minute podcast looking for the nut of the content. I think they are great people and fairly humorous, but I am really looking for their expertise not to be entertained.
Drupal Voices starts next week :)
For what it's worth, we'll be starting a short daily podcast ranging from 5-15 minutes long next week. We're starting with about 50 interviews that I did at Drupalcon and hopefully that'll satisfy at least some of this type of demand for shorter content. Stay tuned! :)

I probably wouldn't listen to these podcasts anymore if they got all boring and too much to the point. I enjoy the non-uptight mood they create, mainly because it doesn't make me feel dumb and it's fairly entertaining.
Sure beats hearing the same crummy pop-song 20 times on the radio.
Don't let the anonymous cry-babies get to you, this is the only podcast I listen to and enjoy... I would be sad if you guys got all serious all the time :(

Who is the Market?
I must admit I also found it a bit slow to get to the point though I perhaps would not have expressed it as some have in these comments. Then again I knew it would be 90 mins before I pressed the play button so I can't really complain if it takes 90 minutes to get the promised message across.
I think the problem here is different users and ways of digesting content. I actually listened to this through my laptop in the background whilst going through emails etc, but even then I must say it is a time-drain because it does require a certain amount of attention. It's not really feasible for a Drupal professional to sit down and dedicate 90 minutes to get this information, though the information is good and interesting it's too "expensive" time-wise. People in my situation seem to be the ones complaining about the rambling nature.
Other posters indicate they listen to it in the car which makes sense because you are kind of giving value to otherwise fairly wasted time. In such a case I think I would find the timespan acceptable - it's like a radio presentation. I suppose that's the idea of a podcast anyway. I just (shock horror) don't have an MP3 player.
Anyway... this all got me thinking... I'd be interested to know who the intended market is for these podcasts? Who do you expect to listen to them, and how do you expect their content to be digested (online, offline etc?).

I like the podcast
I like the podcast...and suppose all the naysayers do as well...for they all seem to continue to listen. Keep the longer format...or cut it short...or make it even longer. Whatever you release is always worth a listen.

I always love the lullabot podcasts. they're entertaining, and a good way to wind down from the week (while still being useful). I've listened to every single episode, and really miss it when theres a few weeks between programmes. thanks lullabots. keep it up! (there'll always be some tossers who just sit back and criticise without contributing anything, so just ignore 'em). I love that you make it feel like we're all just gathering for a beer and to talk drupal. thanks
Something constructive
Love the podcasts - and have no issue in the laid back delivery and length - beats a series of dry tutorials any day.
One suggestion I do have is to (please) spend a few minutes getting your levels set up at the start - for quite a bit of the time the mic's are going into overdrive giving us that not-so-nice rattle to accompany the 'cast!

Drupal 7 Updating
I enjoyed it. Thanks for the tasty links. I looked around for some information about if there is anything about the Drupal 7 to Drupal 7.x updating process?
What I mean is if Drupal 7 will be easier to update. One thing that is painful to me is disabling all of the modules and then turning them on again after updating. You have to do it in an order sometimes for modules that are related. This is especially true now that moving in more of an API direction and modules are becoming more granular. It always takes me forever.
I tried to look this up but could not find anything. It's actually hard to google this using keywords.
Anyone know anything?
By the way - I feel like I go to the University of Lullabot. I am reading "Using Drupal" I bought access to the "Do It with Drupal" and I bought the first Drupal video. Now I'm listening to the podcast while gardening. HA!

Applying those changes manually allowed me to demo the "Total Drupal administration revamp" proposal with full administrative access permissions.
I'm confident that we can turn this into a module.
