I don't think Acquia really cares about DAMP stack ;-(
Just look at their forum. Almost everything in the DAMP section is a few weeks old, and they seem to either not able to or not want to answer customers' questions ;-(
After asking a question on their Forum and sending email without receiving any response, I gave up on DAMP. At least with MAMP, there is a big community who is willing to help.
Addressing the response breakdown
We've clearly had a breakdown in the DAMP forum response handling. My apologies.
It will be addressed today by having one of our Support team members assigned to make sure all DAMP issues submitted in the forums are addressed in a timely manner. The vast majority of DAMP support we provide arrives via email and we've been very responsive on that channel. We need to do as good a job in the forums, too. We want everybody to come away with a positive support experience no matter what support channel they use.
I appreciate the frank feedback and you can be assured the team will address this in short order.

Kent Gale
