nice job on the podcast

hey guys,

great job with the podcast! i zoned out during part of it while working, but what i heard was very informative, and i plan on listening to it again (perhaps to put me to sleep tonight -- JUST KIDDING). i hope you continue to find time to do these things. i'm looking forward to listening to the interviews at DrupalCon -- should be great fun to hear some of the voices that we see all the time in the forums and on the email lists.

i heard about you because of the logintoboggan module (what's the status of that, by the way? are you planning on updates? can anyone check in bug fixes or enhancements to the codebase, or should it all be done thru patch requests on the project page -- http://drupal.org/project/issues/logintoboggan?).

cheers,

marc

There should be an update to logintoboggan committed today or tomorrow. Sorry about the wait. We've been swamped!

Well done... Taking Drupal to the masses...

Thanks Jeff/Matt.

This is GREAT promotion of the Drupal community.

I was particularly interested in the AJAX functionality...

Here are some suggestions for future subjects;

- ACL/Security
- Taxonomy/Folksonomy
- Module Selection
- Migrating from other CMS'
- and the obvious one drupal themes

Perhaps you might even dedicate some time within each podcast that includes a focus on a specific module, explaining what the module does, and who might benefit from its selection...

Best of luck for the future....

Russ

All of these and more

Yes, we plan to cover all of those things... and more. Stay tuned!

Podcast #1

Hey guys, great podcast. It was really cool to add another dimension to the persona that evolves from reading your posts on Drupal.

I’ve been using Drupal for about a year now and am still getting my head around some of the great things that can be done with this software. I’m amazed that each time I think I have it figured I come across another feature or way of implementing features.

The idea of a podcast to introduce users to Drupal is great, perhaps sometime in the future you might want to consider a series that explains the intended application of Drupal modules as sometimes it is a little hard to visualise what comes next after a module I enabled. Perhaps even some guest podcasters to explain their contributed modules?

Shattering a myth

I already said on the devel list: I do sleep, quite a lot even, just my life cycle does not match the 24hrs cycle. So it may seem that I am always on line. To add to the legend, my computer is rarely off, so I seem to be always on IRC.

just want to say that you

just want to say that you did a great job with the podcast.

cheers,
Dmitri
