My big frustration with

My big frustration with drupal.org is not the search but the way that Drupal folks everywhere seem to want to present content according to content type rather than organizing it within a decent hierarchical structure of related information or even employ some kind of taxonomy for categorization. Lullabot itself is a good example of this unfortunate approach with the content here "organized" by video, audio, article rather than structural headings like "Managing A Server", "Working With Drupal Page Structure" etc.
Searching is fine when you know what you're searching for, but can wind up being both frustrating and confusing for a newbie when information is not tied together. Both here and in Drupal.org I find myself crawling down long lists of unrelated topics that jump here, there and everywhere.
It's like going to a university where the course catalog is organized by the teaching style of the professor rather than the subject. If you're looking for 17th Century English Literature you'll find it along with Introduction to Structural Engineering under the heading "Professor smokes a pipe, uses PowerPoint and cracks jokes".

Try drupalsearch.org

You may try http://drupalsearch.org (based on Google CSE), it is an alternative way fo searching drupal.org.
