People have been asking for more information about our new venture. More detailed information is forthcoming, but meanwhile, I did a press round-up for those of you who might be interested. We're working on a press page for Lullabot.com, but meanwhile, I thought I'd post it to our blog.

what's the difference from Acquia's release?

I like to have competition though. Are we going to see a drupal package from lullabot soon, just like what Acquia did?

Thanks

NOLA Payforward

Hi Lullabot,

Why not ...

1) Proactively identify some organizations in New Orleans that are:
+ doing good things for the community rebuilding
+ could use a Drupal system to help them work
+ have some teachable people on staff

2) Invite them to submit a Twitter-length description of their effort.

3) Award 2 free seats at the workshop to an org, or 1 seat to two orgs - whoever seems able to benefit the most people.

Take Care,
Ray

p.s. I think this might help prime the karma pump for your new venture, which I have been awaiting with anticipation for a few years now. Kudos for tackling it :-)

NOLA FTW

Hey Ray,

Collecting input, creating user stories and honing a user experience that's more intuitive has been the source of inspiration over the last couple of months. And the non-profit sector is no exception. (Check out Jeff's interview on NetSquared).

Meanwhile, when we're in New Orleans, we're gonna don our carpenter pants and swap out a computer mouse for a hammer. This should be ... interesting!

RE: NOLA FTW

What an elegant way to balance the equation. Best wishes to all of you :-)
