Lullabot's Drupal Voices Podcast to Cover DrupalCon Chicago

DrupalCon Chicago is just around the corner, and I plan on roaming the hallways again conducting Drupal Voices podcast interviews with the movers and shakers and rising stars of the Drupal World.

Last year, I conducted 23 hours worth of interviews with 80 people over the course of five days at DrupalCon San Francisco. These were all edited and slowly released over the six months that followed. They're all still available to download either via the Drupal Voices iTunes feed, RSS feed or the All Lullabot Podcasts RSS feed.

Hopefully the Drupal Voices interviews in the past have helped to provide a snapshot of major news and announcements, hot modules and emerging trends in the Drupal World, as well as to feature the passions and personalities of some of the most active members the Drupal community.

In Chicago, I'll be on the hunt, looking for interviews with DrupalCon speakers, Drupal site builders and more. I'll be looking to capture news about new and updated Drupal 7 modules and distributions, Drupal 8 development plans, and the passions and interests of the Drupal community.

Things I would like to hear about.

1> Drupal 8 Development Priorities, what to expect and the focus.
2> Continuous Integration with drupal.
3> Development Workflows ( drush make, install profiles, features and the tweaks/problems teams face )
4> Some performance related podcasts would be good too.
5> Best practices for teams, development workflows is something I am very interested to listen about.
6> Also Aegir related stuff (road map etc) would be nice

Front End Performance

Front End Performance has been overlooked a lot in the Drupal community. Some of our sites are big and slow to load (for people not on a super high speed connection or not in a modern browser). This is the first DrupalCon I'm aware of with multiple speakers on the topic.

A couple potential people to talk to are Dan Mouyard and Theresa Summa.

drupal in higher ed environments

Hey Kent -- Thanks for the great podcast. I always learn a lot from listening.

Perhaps you could interview someone like Bryan Ollendyke at PSU for an update on how drupal is being used in higher education. I'm particularly interested in how drupal is gaining users in a grassroots way as opposed to being adopted by the ITS dept and deployed top-down.

Great for the busy (or lazy)

That's awesome. I enjoyed last year's podcasts. Drupal Voices is great for learning more about the wider Drupal community, especially if you're busy or just a bit lazy ;)
