We couldn't be more excited about both the release of Drupal 7 and The Webchick Drupal 7 Tour 2011 that Angie "Webchick" Byron is going on to help everyone get started. In January and February, Angie will be going to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, New York City, Washington DC, and Atlanta.

With all of the publicity around the tour, I fear that some people might think it's just a promotional tour with some light information about Drupal 7. It's not. Each stop consists of an intensive 2-day seminar to get you up to speed with Drupal's brand new release. Angie and co-trainer Joe Shindelar will be covering changes and giving an overview of installation, administration, configuration, theming, module and API changes, and upgrading your sites to Drupal 7. There will be lots of time for questions and answers and you'll come away tapped-in to Drupal 7 and buzzing with ideas for your next project. If you're going to be building Drupal sites, you're going to need to understand Drupal 7. By the end of these two days, you'll be ready to launch into Drupal 7.

If you're planning on going to DrupalCon in March, this seminar will help you get more out of the event by getting you up to speed with the version of Drupal that everyone will be talking about. If you won't be making it to Chicago, this is a great way for you to keep up with Drupal without needing to travel.
