Announcement 3: Do It With Drupal 2011 • Oct 12-14 in New York City

Blog by Jeff Robbins

We're doing it again

When we decided to take a year off from running the Do It With Drupal conference, we didn't realize how many emails of disappointment we would get. We're always suckers for those puppy dog eyes. So by popular demand, we're proud to announce dates for Do It With Drupal 2011.

Mark your calendar. October 12th, 13th, & 14th, Do It With Drupal will be at the the New York Marriott Brooklyn Bridge in the hippest place on earth, Brooklyn, NY. We'll be giving http://DoItWithDrupal.com a badly needed makeover and opening registration on February 14th. Need a reminder? Get on the Lullabot mailing list.

Do It With Drupal is a training conference focused on providing attendees with practical Drupal site-building advice from top talent both inside and outside of the Drupal community. Past presentations have included site dissections by The Economist, MTV, The New York Senate, Fast Company, Sony Music, and others. Keynotes presenters have included Drupal founder Dries Buytaert, Get Satisfaction founder Lane Becker, and author of Content Strategy For the Web Kristina Halvorsen. We've had Flickr's community manager Heather Champ talk about community building, Google's Chris Messina talking about the Open Web, and Dooce.com's Jon Armstrong talking about building the world's most popular blog site. We've also built and presented a wide array of "fantasy sites" (popular sites cloned in Drupal) including Flickr, Craigslist, Etsy, YouTube, and Basecamp. We've had Views creator Earl Miles teaching Views, CCK co-creator Karen Stevenson teaching CCK, Organic Groups creator Moshe Weitzman teaching Organic Groups, and Ubercart co-creator Ryan Szrama teaching Ubercart.

We'll be announcing our 2011 speakers and more details in the coming weeks and months so stay tuned.

See you in Brooklyn!

"and opening registration on February 14th"

I put registering for DIWD on my calendar back in December, and I've been eagerly checking the site periodically all day today. What time will registration open?
