Performance and Scalability Seminar Slides

On March 24th, 2007 Lullabot hosted the Performance and Scalability Seminar in Sunnyvale California the day after the OSCMS Summit. The panel spent the day evaluating the role each part of the software stack plays in performance and scalability. To continue the discussions we've made our slides available for download. Enjoy!

Thanks for the great seminar, all!

Hey all,

Thanks for pulling together such a great seminar ... and with a short deadline.

I was thrilled to see so many in attendance.

Keep up the great work.

Kevin

thanks!

Thank you so much for always being so willing to share. You guys really have the OSS spirit and give so much to the Drupal community. You should know that it is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Will there be audio/video

Will there be audio/video available? I'm having a tough time grasping the slides. :p

Thanks a lot!

Thank you very much for the files.

Hope to see some of this stuff here in Barcelona!

Seminar Notes

I live wiki'd the seminar. My notes can be found here

Seminar Notes

Thanks for sharing the notes, just what I was after - all the best

Thanks!

Thanks for posting this info. I'm eager to see the missing presentation too.

Am I correct in my impression that drupal thruput for authenticated users is much lower than anon users because requests for authenticated users don't take advantage of drupal's cache? If so, I'm curious about the impact of using MemcacheD on the number of requests for authenticated users per second that can be served.

Benchmarking needed

Since the next generation of memcaching code isn't complete yet (we're working towards a release of the memcache module), there aren't yet any hard numbers to throw around. It is possible to significantly increase the throughput of authenticated users, however.

Usefull information

I am glad that these kinds of Summits take place more and more often. They provide useful information for all users on Globe and direct the right moves so all the internet and computer work to be as accurate as possible.

This seminar is awesome

Thank you very much for your effort. I just love your great work. I appreciate it a lot and I hope to see more soon :O))

Memcache

Will the memcache look to solve problems regarding memory for the 'category module'?
